MMC Contrarian Limited (ASX Code: MMA) is a diversified financial services company that listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in December 2003. The company originally floated as a Listed Investment Company investing in a number of other ASX listed companies.

In 2008 a change in strategy was approved by shareholders to broaden the existing strategy and allow the company to participate in the long term growth of the wider financial service industry. This change will help diversity the company’s earnings and provide a greater level of stability to these earnings through all market conditions. The first phase of implementing the new strategy was facilitated by the purchase of ComCorp Financial Advice in March 2009.

The company continues to investigate opportunities in the financial services sector to expand its current capability and to cement its position as a leading provider of independent financial advice and asset management in the Australian wealth management marketplace.

• Create, invest in and acquire financial services businesses;
• Generate returns for shareholders from operating and growing its financial services businesses; and
• As a result there will be less emphasis on investment earnings.
